Hi. My name is Bob Gonzalez. You can call me Bob, if you wish.
I am a cartoonist from somewhere in Michigan. It hasn’t always been easy to admit that. The cartoonist thing, not the Michigan thing. For some reason, I felt like I had to be making a living as a cartoonist to actually be called a cartoonist. I have since put such childish silliness aside and admitted to myself that I am, indeed, a cartoonist. I am what I am. Whatcha gonna do?
As such, let me offer my services. Let me draw something for you. And, as a matter of fact, let’s take that drawing and put it on a T-shirt. Or…let’s take that drawing and your company logo and put them on coffee mugs and give them to your favorite customers on their Birthday, perhaps. We can do that through Redbubble.
This is something that I just thought up. I will go into more detail later, but here is the gist of it. You tell me what to draw, I draw it and place it on the product of your choice in Redbubble. I send you the link to the Redbubble page for you to approve. After your approval, I place the order to Redbubble and in about a week you get your custom-made products shipped straight to your home or business. Whatta ya think? Huh?
As I said, I will hammer out the details and post here in the future. Right now, I am thinking about posting a sample Redbubble product. Stay tuned!
Oddbox Comics showcases my art and comics, both past and present (but not future, because that would be weird). From comic strips and panels to doodles, drawings, and animation.
CONTENTS
Chico and the Chupacabra: A story of a boy and his chupacabra. Click on the Chico and the Chupacabra image in the sidebar. Appeared in Flint Comix.
Zinger-Man: An ambiguously dubious super-hero. The Zinger-Man character was a caricature of Randy Zimmerman, the editor of Flint Comix and Entertainment. This comic feature started out with the title, Zimmerman. I was afraid I might end up eventually offending Randy, so I made a conscious decision to veer away by naming him, Zimmer-Man, and finally settling on Zinger-Man. He was not offended, as far as I know. Appeared in Flint Comix.
The Sports Page: A comic strip about sports, of course. Appeared in Flint Comix.
Oddbox: This is a comic strip about nothing in particular. Just two goofy guys (one is “Man”, and the other is “Dude”) saying and doing odd things and trying to be funny. I created an animated version of the first episode of Oddbox and put it in an ad for my ScribblePads. Appeared in Flint Comix.
Surewould Forest: A comic strip spoof of the legend of Robin Hood. Appeared in Flint Comix, Stoopid, and a smattering of weekly newspapers.
Doopy Joe: A comic panel about a hapless everyman.
Small Consolation: A comic panel that explains why you should be thankful for even a small consolation.
Animation: The Sneezer Guy. True or Hoowie. Brain Fart. Animutation. The Flashing Chupacabra. And Oddbox Roulette (a gift from a talented fan and fellow blogger).

I am teaching a linguistics course and I would like to use your “origin of language” “Club/Cupcake” in the course as it is so spot on. Will of course keep your reference on it. Will you allow that?

Hello Bob,
I would like to use the following two teleportation comics for my scientific research and eventually a scientific publication within an online journal ( https://oddboxcomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/hankeringw.jpg https://oddboxcomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/newappw.jpg ).
I would only use them as comparison, as they are perfect examples for appearance/disappearance visualization in comics. I would not change them in any way and would of course share you as the creator in any way you wish.
Could you please send me an e-mail to discuss the copyright/publishing use?
Thank you in advance 🙂
