The gig is up.

Hey! I just got my first freelance job on Fiverr! Somehow, somebody found me in a virtual sea of cartoonists. Here is how it went down…

…I get an e-mail that says something like, “You have just gotten an order on Fiverr!” Now, I have to admit that I was a little bit excited. But, only a little bit, because my first two messages on Fiverr were people asking for all of my personal information so that they could get an Upwork account. They would give me $100 a week or some such rot. Well, I didn’t fall for it. Back to my story…with a little trepidation, I go to my Fiverr account and lo and behold, there is an order! This is great! So I read what theĀ  client wants me to draw and what he wants is quite a bit more than my $5.00 offering. “That’s a lot of work for a fiverr”, I think. However, it would be nice to get my first job on Fiverr, so I offer my services for two fiverrs, and he says, “Ya know what, I’ll give you three fiverrs.” Do you know what I say? I say, “It’s a deal!”

Now here’s the kicker. I had a blast drawing this. Plus, I was being paid $15.00. I was making money by having fun. I like it. However, this is not the end of the story. I sent the art to the client anxiously hoping that my humble scribblings would be worthy of his appreciation. Not only did he like it, he gave me four more fiverrs as a tip! If this is how it is in Fiverr Land, then, I think I might like it here!
